MetroLink Alert - 8th & Pine, Rock Road and Wellston Stations

8th & Pine Station | Temporarily Closed

The 8th & Pine Station in downtown St. Louis will be temporarily closed until July for station enhancements, including new staircases and other infrastructure. Trains will not stop at station during closure. A Metro Shuttle Bus is in service between the 8th & Pine and Civic Center Stations for customers traveling to/from 8th & Pine area. The shuttle operates every 20 minutes. Look for shuttle signs on Pine Street near 8th & Pine, and by the bus bays at Civic Center.

Rock Road and Wellston Stations | Westbound Platform Closed

MetroLink is operating on a single track each day from beginning of service to end of service at the Rock Road and Wellston Stations for platform improvement work that will take approximately a month to complete. During this work, the westbound platforms at Rock Road and Wellston Stations will be temporarily closed. Customers will need to board Eastbound and Westbound trains from the Eastbound platform at the Rock Road and Wellston Stations during the temporary closure.

8th & Pine Station to Close for Three Months for Station Improvements

DETAILS

The 8th & Pine MetroLink Station in downtown St. Louis will be temporarily closed for about three months, starting on Monday, April 8, for a station enhancement project. Construction crews will install new staircases and make other infrastructure improvements at the 8th & Pine Station during the project, which will take about three months to complete. The 8th & Pine Station will reopen to service this summer when the project concludes.

During the closure, customers will not be able to access the station or station platform, and MetroLink trains will not stop at the station. Metro Transit will operate a Metro Shuttle bus during the station closure between the Civic Center and 8th & Pine MetroLink Stations to support customers traveling to or from destinations near the 8th & Pine Station, including MetroStore and the Transit Access Center. The Metro Shuttle will operate every 20 minutes.

Traveling from 8th & Pine to MetroLink
Customers should look for the shuttle sign on Eighth Street, ride the shuttle to the Civic Center MetroLink Station, then board MetroLink to continue their commute.

Traveling to 8th & Pine from MetroLink
Customers should ride MetroLink to the Civic Center MetroLink Station, look for shuttle sign by the bus bays at Civic Center, then ride the shuttle to the 8th & Pine Station.

Single-Track Operations at Rock Road and Wellston Stations for Platform Improvement Work

DETAILS

Construction crews will repair and resurface the MetroLink platforms at the Rock Road Station as part of an improvement project that starts on Monday, April 15. The project is expected to be completed by the end of May.

Beginning April 15, the westbound platforms at the Wellston and Rock Road Stations will be temporarily closed to accommodate construction work. During the temporary closure, all MetroLink trains will serve the eastbound platforms at the Rock Road and Wellston Stations. Customers traveling both eastbound and westbound will need to use the eastbound platforms at Rock Road and Wellston Stations to board their trains.

Red Line MetroLink trains will operate on a single track between the Wellston and Rock Road MetroLink Stations from beginning to end of service each day to accommodate the construction work. Red Line MetroLink trains may experience minor delays of up to five minutes during single-track operations. Blue Line MetroLink service will not be impacted.
