No MetroLink Service Between Union Station and 8th & Pine on Saturday & Sunday

DETAILS

MetroLink will not operate between the Union Station and 8th & Pine MetroLink Stations on Saturday, October 11 and Sunday, October 12, for track maintenance work.

During this period, MetroLink Station Shuttles will transport riders by bus between the Union Station, Civic Center and 8th & Pine Stations. Riders traveling through this area are encouraged to plan ahead and allow an extra 20 minutes to their weekend commutes to avoid delays.

MetroLink trains outside of the affected area will operate on regular weekend schedules. Blue Line MetroLink trains will only operate between the Shrewsbury-Lansdowne I-44 and Union Station MetroLink Stations.

MetroLink will resume normal service on Monday, October 13.

Blue Line Service Between Shrewsbury & Forest Park Only | Monday-Friday Evenings

Union Station and Civic Center Stations Single-Track Details

On Monday through Friday evenings from 6:00 p.m. until end of service (Oct. 6-10), Blue Line trains will only operate between the Shrewsbury-Lansdowne I-44 and Forest Park-DeBaliviere Station to accommodate construction work on the downtown tunnels. During these periods:

• Westbound Blue Line passengers will need to ride a Red Line train to the Forest Park-DeBaliviere Station, where they can transfer to a Blue Line train and continue their westbound trip.
• Eastbound Blue Line passengers will need to transfer to an eastbound Red Line train at the Forest Park-DeBaliviere Station to continue their eastbound trip. 
• Red Line service may experience delays up to 5 minutes.
• Customers should allow an additional 10 minutes when transferring between MetroLink lines.

Fairview Heights and Washington Park Stations  Single-Track Details:

On Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from Beginning of Revenue Service until After Revenue Service, to minimize disturbance of the 79th St. retaining wall, MetroLink will continue single-track at Fairview Heights and Washington Park Stations. 

During single-track operation:

• Blue Line Trains will only operate from Emerson Park Station to Shrewsbury Station 
• Westbound Blue Line passengers traveling between the Fairview Heights Station and the JJK Station should board a Red Line train to Emerson Park Station to connect with a Blue Line train.
• Eastbound Blue Line Trains will depart Shrewsbury Station 5 minutes prior to the scheduled departure and hold for time at Brentwood-I64 Station.

• Red Line service may experience delays of up to 5 minutes.
• Customers should allow an additional 10 minutes when transferring to the Blue Line.

Stadium Station Temporarily Closed for Secure Platform Plan Improvements

DETAILS

The Stadium MetroLink Station is temporarily closed. Riders are encouraged to use the 8th & Pine MetroLink Station during the temporary closure to travel to/from destinations near Busch Stadium.

During the closure, construction crews will be performing concrete work to prepare for the installation of Secure Platform fencing and gates which will improve rider safety. The station is expected to reopen by the end of October 2025.
