Convention Center MetroLink Station to Temporarily Close for Upgrades and Improvements Starting January 6
The Convention Center MetroLink Station in downtown St. Louis will temporarily close for several months starting on Monday, January 6, 2025. The closure is needed so maintenance and repairs of station infrastructure, removal of aging escalators, and staircase rehabilitation and construction can be performed. The Convention Center Station will reopen after the project is completed, which is anticipated to be finished next spring.
During the temporary closure, customers will not be able to access the Convention Center Station or station platform, and MetroLink trains will not stop at the station. Metro Transit will operate a Metro Shuttle during the closure between the Civic Center and Convention Center MetroLink Stations to assist customers traveling to or from destinations near Convention Center, including the MX District and The Dome at America’s Center. The Metro Shuttle will operate every 25 minutes.
