Bi-State Development President and CEO Taulby Roach and Metro Transit Director of Public Safety Kevin Scott spoke with St. Louis on the Air this week about the latest developments to improve safety on transit.

The new, layered security approach reflects the idea that transit is a community. “[Transit] happens to be a moving community where we have regular folks who are customers who are moving in and out of that,” said Taulby Roach. “Most of my customers use the system almost every single day.”

“And so the key component to this layered and almost community and neighborhood approach is that we have the right people, in the right place, with the right tools and the right training.”
