Help Transform a MetroBus into a Mobile Masterpiece at the Ferguson Farmers Market on August 10

Aspiring artists of all ages are invited to help add some color to the MetroBus fleet during an Art in Motion bus painting on Saturday, August 10, at one of the area’s most popular weekend destinations, the Ferguson Farmers Market.

As part of the Art in Motion program, Metro Arts in Transit has partnered with EarthDance Organic Farm School and the Ferguson Farmers Market to allow children, families and other market visitors an opportunity to express their creativity and paint two murals on a MetroBus. The murals were designed by artist Crystal Stevens of Grow Create Inspire, and include images of fields, fruits and vegetables, to highlight the benefits of farming and the importance of ensuring everyone has access to farm-fresh produce.

The bus painting begins at 9 a.m. on August 10 at the Ferguson Farmers Market, located at Plaza 501, near the corner of Suburban and South Florissant Road. The event is free and open to the public. Once completed, the bus will join the Art in Motion Bus Fleet, and the murals will be on display for one year as the bus travels along various routes throughout the St. Louis region.
