Metro Transit Quarterly Service Change Scheduled for June 15

Metro Transit will modify schedules for MetroLink and MetroBus routes in Missouri and Illinois as part of its quarterly service change, scheduled for Monday, June 15.

Metro has been monitoring transit operations and passenger volumes throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. This information was used to update transit schedules for the June 15 Service Change to improve on-time performance and transit connections, and increase service frequencies during peak travel periods to maintain safe social distancing and minimize overcrowding.

Twenty MetroBus routes will have trips added during high-demand travel times, with 14 of the busiest routes operating every 15 or 20 minutes during select weekday hours. MetroLink will operate 15-minute service during peak hours on weekdays, which will provide service every 7-8 minutes in the core of the system between the Forest Park-DeBaliviere and Fairview Heights MetroLink Stations, and 20-minute service during off-peak hours and weekends.

Due to limited workforce and vehicle resources as a result of COVID-19, Metro will continue to temporarily suspend service on the following Missouri MetroBus routes: #1 Gold | #2 Red | #5 Green | #13 Union | #17 Mackenzie | #59 Oakland | #57X Clayton Road | #58X Twin Oak Express | #73X I-55 Express | #79X North County Express | #410 Eureka Express.

Alternative transportation services through partnerships with Lyft, St. Clair County Transit District and Monroe  Randolph Transit District will be available for MetroBus riders who use the #47 Hanley, #56 Kirkwood-Webster, #58 Chesterfield Valley and #75 Christian Hospital routes in Missouri, and the #2X Waterloo-Columbia and #7 Fairmont routes in Illinois.

Face coverings must be worn by all riders and transit employees when they board as well as covering their nose and mouth during the entire trip on a Metro Transit vehicle.

All Metro Transit customers are encouraged to check metrostlouis.org, Transit app or contact Metro Transit Information for updated MetroBus and MetroLink schedule information. Metro Transit Information is available Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 314.207.9786 (text) or 314.231.2345 (phone).

Detailed schedules and information for MetroLink and every MetroBus route are available on the Upcoming Schedule Changes page of the Metro Transit website at metrostlouis.org/upcoming-schedule-changes.
