Part of UMSL South Parking Lot Closing on Monday

Metro will move into the second phase of the new light rail improvement project at the UMSL South MetroLink Station on Monday, April 16, 2012. For the duration of the rail project, the south section of the Park-Ride lot at the station will be closed to motorists. During certain times throughout this phase of construction, it may also be necessary to close other smaller sections of the parking lot to accommodate construction activities. Because fewer parking spaces will be available at the UMSL South MetroLink Station, MetroLink customers are encouraged to consider parking at the North Hanley or Rock Road MetroLink Stations.

The project began in November 2011 and is scheduled to be completed in early 2013.

MetroLink passengers can expect occasional delays and several MetroBus shuttles are scheduled to be implemented during the construction work. Metro will let customers know in advance about operational changes which impact service.
