Platform Improvement Project at Rock Road MetroLink Station Begins April 15
Construction crews will repair and resurface the MetroLink platforms at the Rock Road Station as part of an improvement project that starts on Monday, April 15. The project is expected to take approximately four weeks to complete.
The Rock Road MetroLink Station has two platforms, one serving westbound MetroLink trains and the other serving eastbound MetroLink trains. On Monday, April 15, the westbound platform will temporarily close to allow for construction work to begin. During this temporary closure, all MetroLink trains will serve the eastbound platform at the Rock Road Station. Customers traveling both eastbound and westbound will use the eastbound platform to board and exit trains at Rock Road Station.
Red Line MetroLink trains will operate on a single track between the Wellston and Rock Road MetroLink Stations from beginning to end of service each day to accommodate the construction work. Red Line MetroLink trains may experience minor delays of up to five minutes during single-track operations. Blue Line MetroLink service will not be impacted.
Once improvements to the westbound platform are complete, crews will shift the repair work to the eastbound platform at the Rock Road Station. At that time, customers traveling both eastbound and westbound will use the westbound platform only to board or exit their train.
Customers with questions or who need assistance are encouraged to contact the Metro Transit Information team Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. by calling 314.231.2345 or by texting 314.207.9786.
