Ride Metro Transit to NASCAR’s Enjoy Illinois 300 at World Wide Technology Raceway This Weekend

[ST. LOUIS, MO/June 1, 2023]  NASCAR’s Enjoy Illinois 300 is coming to the St. Louis region this Saturday, June 3, and Sunday, June 4, bringing with it a weekend full of racing, concerts and fun at World Wide Technology Raceway. With tens of thousands of racing fans from around the country expected to enjoy the big race on Sunday and with all of the weekend festivities, Metro Transit makes it easy to enjoy the fun and excitement without worrying about navigating crowded roads, traffic jams and parking.

Metro Transit has partnered with St. Clair County Transit District and Madison County Transit to provide free shuttles from two Metro East locations to the Enjoy Illinois 300 and other NASCAR festivities at World Wide Technology Raceway this weekend. Metro Transit will operate free shuttles on Saturday and Sunday that will travel between the raceway and the Emerson Park Transit Center (929 N. 15th Street, 62205) in East St. Louis, Illinois. Another free Metro Transit shuttle will be available on Sunday only, which will travel between the raceway and the parking lot at the former Marcus St. Clair Cinema (50 Ludwig Drive, 62208) in Fairview Heights, Illinois.

Shuttle service on Saturday and Sunday begins at 8 a.m., and the last shuttles leave the raceway 30 minutes after the last concert has ended. Race fans can park their vehicles at the free Park-Ride lot at the Emerson Park Transit Center and then board the shuttle, or park at any of the other 20 free Park-Ride lots at MetroLink stations in Missouri and Illinois, and ride the train to the Emerson Park Transit Center to catch the shuttle.
