Take a Ride on the #3 Forest Park Trolley to Enjoy Summer Movies on Art Hill This July
Metro is providing special service on the #3 Forest Park Trolley for the Saint Louis Art Museum’s Art Hill Film Series this month. Movie lovers can leave their cars at home or park them at one of our 21 free Park-Ride lots in Missouri and Illinois, and take Metro to the Saint Louis Art Museum in Forest Park to enjoy films, food, music and fun on four upcoming Friday evenings. The Art Hill Film Series begins on Friday, July 10, with a showing of Back to the Future.
The #3 Forest Park Trolley will provide special service between the Forest Park-DeBaliviere MetroLink Station and the Saint Louis Art Museum during the evenings of July 10, July 17, July 24, and July 31. On these Fridays, the trolley will operate every 30 minutes between 6:45 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. for Metro passengers headed to the film showings on Art Hill. After the movies have ended, the trolley will provide return trips from the Saint Louis Art Museum to the Forest Park-DeBaliviere Station at 10:50 p.m., 11:15 p.m. and at midnight.
Passengers at the Forest Park-DeBaliviere MetroLink Station will need to board the #3 Forest Park Trolley at the corner of Pershing and DeBaliviere Avenues, just north of the station, due to construction on the DeBaliviere Bridge. Trolley tickets are $2 for adults, $1 for children (ages 5-12), seniors and disabled passengers, and the trolley is free for children ages 4 and under. Valid Metro passes are acceptable fares for the Forest Park Trolley.
The Art Hill Film Series provides film lovers with the opportunity to enjoy classic movies while sitting in a scenic outdoor setting on Art Hill, between the Grand Basin and Saint Louis Art Museum in Forest Park. Movies begin promptly at 9 p.m., and seating space for blankets and lawn chairs is available on a first come, first served basis. This year, the Art Hill Film Series will be showing:
- Friday, July 10 – Back to the Future
- Friday, July 17 – Jaws
- Friday, July 24 – Clueless
- Friday, July 31 – Sound of Music
