Secure Platform Plan Project

Looking for a fresh and fun field trip idea? Ride Metro as part of your trip!

Metro is excited to offer the Metro Student Field Trip Program to St. Louis metro area schools, grades 1–12. The program provides students, faculty and chaperones access to Metro’s bus and/or rail service.

When you use public transit for your field trip, not only are you taking your students on an educational adventure, you are teaching them important transit skills that they will carry with them for a lifetime.

Metro can help build your itinerary and provide staffing and security to help supervise a fun and safe trip to and from your destination.

To schedule a group field trip using local bus or light rail services, tell us where you want to go, the date and times you would like to travel, and we will do the rest. We provide you with the best route for your trip, time schedules, nearest bus stops and light rail stations and transfer information if necessary.

You can bring a group of up to 25 students and adult chaperones on MetroBus and up to 50 on MetroLink. We also recommend that you schedule a free classroom presentation prior to your first group trip on transit.

Trips must be scheduled and paid for at least two weeks in advance.
