MetroLink service will be temporarily disrupted on Saturday, August 20, 2011, due to construction work on the Interstate 64 Bridge over MetroLink near the Illinois MetroLink rail yard in East St. Louis. Both Red Line and Blue Line customers will be shuttled by bus between the Emerson Park and Fairview Heights MetroLink Stations from start of service through noon on August 20. MetroLink trains will resume service between the Emerson Park MetroLink Station and the Fairview Heights MetroLink Station at approximately noon.

Blue Line service will operate only from the Shrewsbury MetroLink Station to the Civic Center MetroLink Station until noon. Customers who need to continue to travel farther east must transfer to a Red Line train. Westbound Blue Line passengers will shuttle between Fairview Heights and Emerson Park and then board a Red Line train to travel further west.

Red Line service will operate between the Lambert Terminal #1 MetroLink Station to the Emerson Park MetroLink Station and also from the Fairview Heights MetroLink Station to the Shiloh-Scott MetroLink Station.

Customers impacted by the construction should expect delays of at least 20 to 30 minutes on Saturday morning.
