Metro Transit’s holiday music series continues this week with unique and exciting live performances on Friday, December 14 at the North Hanley MetroLink Station and the final concert of the season onboard the Holiday Magic Train on Saturday, December 15 on the MetroLink Red Line.

Metro customers will receive a jolt of holiday cheer when the Normandy High School Brass Ensemble performs at the North Hanley MetroLink Station at 5 p.m. Friday (Dec. 14). Their brassy 30-minute set of holiday favorites will surely help kick off the weekend on a nice note!

On Saturday (Dec. 15), Metro presents Miss Jubilee and the Humdingers onboard the Holiday Magic Train on the Red Line. With three weekly house shows and countless gigs all over the region during their four year run, MetroLink just may be the only venue in town they have yet to play!

Miss Jubilee and the Humdingers’ exciting blend of authentic 1920s Hot Jazz, Swing, Rhythm & Blues and 1950s rock ‘n’ roll is sure to have passengers rockin’ on the rails. Fronted by a high-energy female vocalist and backed up by a horn-fueled swinging’ rhythm section, Miss Jubilee and the Humdingers are a favorite among swing dancers and fans of all ages who enjoy uplifting and energetic roots music.

The Holiday Magic Train departs the Fairview Heights MetroLink Station Saturday (Dec. 15) at 1:22 p.m. and returns to the station at 3:21 p.m. The train will travel to the Lambert Airport Terminal #1 MetroLink Station and back. Stay onboard for the entire show or make it part of your Saturday outing by catching the holiday train at any stop along the way. The schedule below shows the times the Holiday Magic Train will arrive at each Red Line station during the onboard concert by Miss Jubilee and the Humdingers.

The cost of the concert is a ticket to ride. Regular fare or a valid Metro pass is required. The Holiday Magic Train is a partnership between the St. Louis Convention and Visitors Commission (CVC) and Metro Transit. The festively decorated train alternates between the Red and Blue MetroLink Lines to bring holiday cheer to thousands of area commuters.
