Special MetroLink Operations – Effective September 5, 2022

Metro is a great option for enjoying all of the excitement of Cardinals baseball while avoiding traffic and expensive parking, but recent flash floods have impacted MetroLink service. Please plan ahead and allow extra time for your trip.

Beginning Monday, September 5, If you are headed to Busch Stadium from a Blue Line station, you will need to transfer to a Red Line train at the Forest Park-DeBaliviere Station to continue your trip to Stadium Station. Due to flood damage, Blue Line trains are only operating between the Shrewsbury-Lansdowne I-44 and Forest Park-DeBaliviere Stations.

Metro Transit makes it easy for you to enjoy all of the fun and excitement of Cardinals baseball without the hassle of traffic jams, road closures, paying for parking and feeling pain at the pump. You can park for free at any of the 20 Metro Park-Ride lots at MetroLink stations in Missouri and Illinois, purchase a $5 Metro Day Pass for unlimited trips on MetroLink, and ride the train to the Stadium MetroLink Station to get to Busch Stadium, Ballpark Village or Kiener Plaza. 

MetroBus is also another great option, with more than a dozen MetroBus routes serving the Civic Center Transit Center, which is located just a couple blocks west of Busch Stadium.

Note: The Redbird Express is not operating during the 2022 season due to operator shortages.
