The Grand MetroLink Station will reopen on Monday, April 11, 2011 at the beginning of service. The demolition of the Grand Bridge has progressed to the point that it is now safe to reopen the station. It may be necessary in the future to close the Grand MetroLink Station for periods of time if the demolition and construction work pose safety hazards for Metro customers. Metro will alert passengers in advance of future closings and service changes.
The #70 Grand MetroBus will resume service to the Grand MetroLink Station via Scott Avenue on Monday. The #70 Grand will pick up passengers at the entrance to the MetroLink station.
Other important changes:
- There is no pedestrian access to Grand Boulevard from the Grand MetroLink Station.
- The City of St. Louis designated Scott Avenue a no parking zone. Metro passengers will not be allowed to park on Scott Avenue as they did before the construction began.
- MetroBus customers traveling through the construction area should continue to plan to add an extra 15 to 20 minutes for their commute.
