MetroLink Delays Expected Wednesday Night & Thursday Night to Accommodate Construction Projects

MetroLink customers may experience brief delays tomorrow night and Thursday night due to construction activity.
Starting at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6 until the end of service, MetroLink will operate a special construction schedule to accommodate the ongoing demolition of the Grand Bridge. Red Line trains will operate on a single track at the Grand MetroLink Station. Blue Line trains will operate from the Forest Park MetroLink Station to the Shrewsbury MetroLink Station ONLY during single track operations. In addition, eastbound Red Line departure times from Airport Terminal #1 will be delayed four minutes to eliminate major delays in service caused by the single track configuration. Red Line passengers should expect delays of 5 to 10 minutes. Blue Line passengers should expect delays of 10 to 15 minutes.
In preparation for construction on the Eads Bridge, starting at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 7 until the end of service, MetroLink will operate a special construction schedule. Red Line trains will single track at the East Riverfront. The eastbound platform of the East Riverfront MetroLink Station will be closed. It is important that passengers should allow extra time to catch the train at the westbound platform of the East Riverfront MetroLink Station during that time. Passengers will board or deboard from the westbound platform only at East Riverfront Station starting at 8:00 p.m. Thursday night until the end of service. Blue Line trains will operate from the Civic Center MetroLink Station to the Shrewsbury MetroLink Station ONLY during single track operations. Red Line passengers should expect delays of 5 to 10 minutes. Blue Line passengers should expect delays of 10 to 15 minutes.
