MetroLink Commuters Advised – Allow for Minor Delays on October 16 & October 23

What:

On Saturday, October 16 and Saturday, October 23, MetroLink will operate special service from the beginning of service to 5:00 p.m. to accommodate required maintenance of MetroLink tracks.

Blue Line trains, which typically operate between Shrewsbury and Fairview Heights, will instead operate from Shrewsbury to the Civic Center MetroLink Station. Red Line trains will continue to operate their standard route from the Lambert Airport to Shiloh-Scott MetroLink Stations.

Passengers on Blue Line trains who wish to continue their commute east beyond the Civic Center MetroLink Station will need to transfer to a Red Line train at or before the Civic Center MetroLink Station. Passengers traveling west who normally board Blue Line trains towards Shrewsbury will need to transfer to a Blue Line train between the Civic Center and Forest Park-DeBaliviere MetroLink Stations.

In addition, Red Line trains will operate on a single track past the East Riverfront MetroLink Station.

During the adjusted service, customers should expect minor delays and are advised to allow extra time for their commutes. For more information, customers may contact Metro Transit Information at 314-231-2345 from Missouri, or 618-271-2345 from Illinois.
